Save for America

Banking at School with Dean Bank

The Dean Bank “Save for America” program will resume on Tuesday, October 7thand continue every Tuesday during the school year until May.

Students who previously set up an account with Dean Bank can bring their money to the banking volunteers in the library or cafeteria on Tuesday mornings between 8:15-8:45. We will have the deposit slips available.

New Kindergarteners will be receiving a welcome packet in their folders.  Any other Kennedy students interested in opening a Dean Bank student account can stop by the cafeteria or library during the normal banking hours to get the information packet.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS!  We are also still looking for a few parent volunteers to help us out on Tuesday mornings. It’s a great way to interact with the kids and does not involve any other meetings! Please contact Tricia D’Amato at prdamato@msn.com if you are interested in helping out or if you have any questions.

Len Cabral Storyteller - Cost $900

On September 17, our children were enchanted by Len Cabral, an internationally acclaimed storyteller.  This program was offered in celebration for all the work the kids put into their summer reading.

The children love Mr. Cabral as he captivates their mind and imagination for 45 minutes with his stories from around the globe.  Some classes immediately went back to the classroom and worked in Writer’s Workshop.  Want to know more?  Ask your child or visit www.lencabral.com
